ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is about environment and documentation.
Life on earth now is a lot different than when we were younger.  We are paying the price for our over consumption.  Other species, wild places, biospheres are declining.
I keep track of what is here now in a small portion of a region called the Pacific Northwest.  I miss the abundance of the past but try to live in the moment.   It is less than it was but more than it may be in the future.

ARTIST INFORMATION
Born and raised in Seattle, I lived my adult life in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.  My formal art training was at Cornish School in Seattle.
In the mid 1980s I began a jewelry apprenticeship with Lois Bertolino and continued working with her for several years before venturing out on my own as a jewelry artist. I continue to pursue my jewelry work since 1991 and I have been working in oil pastel, as well,  since 2005.
